could costumed robots sooner or later roam the streets of Walt Disney World?
a new patent software from Disney (DIS) suggests it can be one thing the company has regarded as.
The file says Disney is growing robots, together with “humanoid robots,” which were “adapted for soft contact and/or interaction with a human.”
“To bodily engage with youngsters,” the filing says, “the inventors understood that the robotic will have to be mushy and durable.”

The patent application says Disney has already created a “small, toy-sized” human-looking prototype, which used to be made by means of 3D printing and encased in tender subject material. And it was once likely in response to a famed Disney personality.
“This robot’s fashion and different motions…had been modeled after a given animated personality (e.g., a character from an animated film or tv show),” the patent software says.
Disney declined to comment on the patent, and there isn’t a phrase on when or if the company will in reality put the robots to work at its parks.
