Tinder cofounder and CEO Sean Rad has a new gig: Chairman of Swipe Ventures.
Rad shall be stepping far from the everyday responsibilities as CEO of his in style app Tinder (for the 2nd time) with a purpose to run the newly announced funding vehicle.
Swipe Ventures shall be a part of the publicly traded fit group (MTCH), which is the guardian firm to Tinder. Swipe shall be a technique for Tinder to obtain, strengthen and spend money on relationship and social corporations. that is something it’s already dabbled in, buying two startups, Humin and Tappy, and investing in hello! VINA.
Rad will remain chairman of Tinder, but Greg Blatt will take the helm of the company, efficient immediately.
Blatt is also chairman and CEO of match workforce.
“My new role allows me to continue to make a contribution meaningfully to the overall process of Tinder, while expanding Tinder’s footprint through Swipe Ventures,” Rad said in an announcement about his new function.
Rad had rejoined Tinder as its CEO in August 2015, after being stripped of the title in November 2014.
